Tomato Hornworms are.. Large
This was an unsettling discovery on a tomato plant today. I estimate it to weigh about 12 pounds. Tyranosaurapillar.

I Love Costco
On the left, a 10″ mum from a local garden center. Price, about $10. On the right, a ’12” ‘ mum from Costco. Price, about $12. And it is not done expanding yet. I don’t see a tag, but I believe the Costco mum requires raw meat, instead of Miracle Gro.

Another Sign of Fall
Pumpkin Beer. Boosted the colors a bit, but this looks about right. For some odd reason, someone thought it appropriate to add cinnamon/sugar to my Smuttynose Pumpkin – my first of 2011. I must say, after cruising the liquor store recently.. 2011 is the year that will kill pumpkin beer. I like some, now and…
