Classic Idyl
Idylwilde sells great food – but they have a real skill in HOW they sell it. Who cares that these berries cost $12-13(!) – how do you resist this display. And really.. they have strawberries that are absolutely worth the price. Masterful marketing for terrific products.

Another dragonfly
This one curiously friendly. At the pool, it would repeatedly land on an oustretched finger, and linger long enough for some … pets. I was not petting the draongfly myself, but they often don’t mind it.

Smokey Sun
I forget where this smoke was from. California or Canada? Made for a cool sunset either way! Hard to grab with a phone of course. Google spiced up the main image with some extra color – came out interesting..

My Kind of Sign
Without a doubt if I had a proper street sign planted in the front yard, I’d add something like this. Extra humor points to this artist with a detour driving all this traffic down their road! Somehow I don’t think the Trumper in front of me appreciated the sign as much.

Crane Beach Dune
To access Crane Beach, there’s a lengthy wooden walkway over the dunes. Much like the dunes at most beaches, they are off limits – protecting the beach from erosion as well as the many animals that reside in these areas. As we left the beach and I took the photo above, there was of course…

Still truckin
Two weeks after the first post with this hydrangea, it was in full swing by mid July. Very late compared to everyone else’s. You may spot some imitation alliums in the mix – the blue helped in previous years, when the hydrangea did nothing. For once, the decorations are lost in the blue.
