Or is this bee, bombed? He’s flying wrong, that’s for sure. Was shooting these flower buds up close, and Flippy the Magical Bumble Bee flipped his way into the shot. Well played, Flippy.

  • Duckies!

    Duckies!

There’s a duck pond in town – and the ducks have their own house! Mild color ‘boost’ since the W90 isn’t the greatest.

  • Rain..

    Rain..

    Blah. Late day T-storm.

  • Just a Bug

    Just a Bug

Saw this bug, took some pics. Not really a story here, other than it was a cool bug spotted while grilling. It was a toss up between the bug and this monster toad that hopped between my legs when I was done cooking:

  • Under the (shallow) Sea

    Under the (shallow) Sea

A second day at the beach, this time the camera was underwater. No, not my K100D, but the W90, aka “the extreme cam”. Say hello to Hermie. And the runner up for the day.. FISH!

  • Dogs’ Days of Summer

    Dogs’ Days of Summer

A weekend at the Cape – we spent the days at the dog-friendly area and brought Charlie and Winnie. Check out that air! Winnie is 8 months old and rather.. energetic. Backup photo of the day is a relaxed Winnie. Somewhat

    Cuke?

    Cucumbers are weird.

  • Moth on dirty window

    Moth on dirty window

In my head this was going to be great. It isn’t. The moth’s eyes were glowing at certain angles, but I couldn’t get the camera positioned in any of them. Bah.

  • Catching some air

    Catching some air

Storms knocked the power out this AM, so we headed out for some bagels and a breath of fresh air. Chuck got a lot of fresh air. Thanks to Kim for the shot.

  • Rosé rose

    Rosé rose

The first plantings in the garden were two small rose bushes – which were almost immediately annihilated by either a deer or a rabbit (evidence of both exists). Amazingly, the plants hung in there – and are now blooming during this absurd heat wave.

  • Null Monday

    Null Monday

Starting a project and moving backwards is tough – I didn’t shoot anything on Monday, so here’s something Kim shot on Sunday.

  • Cowmobile

    Cowmobile

Kim and I stopped at Ben and Jerry’s on the way back from the wedding.. and it just so happened to be National Ice Cream Day.
