Winter just isn’t what it used to be

Many spring plants are starting to pop up around here. Read up on this, and as you’d expect, the culprit is our erratic ‘new’ winters – no slow and steady drop in temperatures – things are all over the board from November to March. Plants don’t tell time – they just start coming up when the ground isn’t cold.

The good news is – should things freeze again, everything is fine as long as the flowers are still underground. Sheesh.
